The Geneva Food and Beverage Industry Consortium was established to foster innovation and growth in the local food and beverage industry. Key stakeholders from over 20 organizations, including producers, business, academia and government, came together to support this initiative.

To provide governance and to guide the Consortium’s work going forward, the members created a Leadership Circle.

“The Leadership Circle will ensure the continued momentum and success of the consortium by guiding our ongoing work, facilitating next steps for the work groups, and determining long-term leadership of the consortium.”

  • Sage Gerling, Geneva City Manager

The members of the original Leadership Circle included:

Next steps for the group include hiring a manager to provide day-to-day support for the initiative.

With the support of the Leadership Circle and the initiative manager, the consortium’s six working groups will be responsible for developing and executing strategies around communication, infrastructure needs, workforce development, access to capital, and incubation and acceleration support as well as initiatives around sharing the story of the local industry and the Consortium’s development.
